Christie asked if I wanted to be her roommate today. I'm considering it. The difference between the rent mom charges me and the rent I'll have to pay Christie isn't much different and the apartment Christie has is closer to my work. I know mom plans to sell the house and get a smaller place when I move out so better now than later I think...

Pretty much everyone but me decided to go away for Spring Break. I decided that it would be rather unprofessional of me to take time off so soon after acquiring my job. I'll probably go somewhere next year. Speaking of my work, I really enjoy my 10% employee discount. I have a giant crystal lotus in my bedroom now thanks to that discount XD

It went pretty smoothly. The cash register only decided to be a bitch twice and the customers were understanding. Decent hours (9-5), hour lunch break, and a twenty minute break to take "whenever I need it" (you're just not allowed to extend your lunch hour with it). It's right on the train route too so I don't have to walk all that far to get to work from the station. So yeah, happy with this job.

Applied for the clerk's job at that small downtown store. And... score! I start on the 23rd. I'm rather excited about this job. It's a neat store that sells all manner of knick knacks. It also seems to be a popular place despite the waning "shopping rate" so it appears that I have a secure job for the time being. Perfect timing too. I need to save up and get my mom a super awesome birthday present. She's turning the big 4-0 in May.

...I quit my job. I couldn't stand working in the doctor's office anymore. I hate medical places way too much. They make me twitchy and uncomfortable. So I'm looking for a different job now. So far I've applied for a sales position at a jewelry store and for a personal assistant position at a lawyer's office. Haven't heard anything yet from either, but it's only been a few days. I also found a job opening at a small store downtown that sounded interesting. I'm going to call tomorrow.

Mom and I are going to Florida for two weeks in August. I'm so excited. I also can't believe how much money I have saved up. For once, I'm happy to have a job XD

Well, it wasn't too painful. I still hate doctors' offices and they still make me twitchy, but it's nothing too terrible. It's something I can definitely handle and perhaps get over in time...

And of course I got my first pay check, which always helps XD

I found a job working as a secretary in a doctor's office. I don't know how well this is going to go since I hate doctors' offices. They make me twitchy. The only reason I took the job was because it was easy and it pays good. It's full-time too which I need right now. Trying to save up money for my own place. Anyway, I start on Monday. It should prove interesting...

-22 this morning! My car wouldn't even start so now I'm waiting for a friend to pick me up. That is really the only thing I hate about living here... the freaking cold winters!
